DUBAIUAE carrier flydubai has resumed scheduled operations across its network with a reduced flight schedule as regional airspace restrictions continue to ease.

The Dubai-based airline confirmed that flights are gradually returning while operations remain limited, with schedules being updated in response to evolving airspace conditions. The carrier said it is closely monitoring developments and plans to add more services as restrictions are lifted.

Passengers have also been advised to check the status of their journeys before travelling to the airport, as flight paths and timings may change while the situation stabilises.

Reduced schedule

In a statement on Thursday, a flydubai spokesperson said the airline had begun restoring operations but would continue to operate a limited schedule for the time being.

“We are continuously updating our schedule and adding more flights as airspace restrictions are lifted,” the spokesperson said.

The airline noted that some flights may take longer than usual as aircraft follow alternative routes due to temporary restrictions in certain airspace corridors. These adjustments are being made to ensure safe and compliant operations while maintaining connectivity across the network.

Passenger advisory

flydubai has urged travellers not to head to the airport unless they hold a confirmed booking or have received official confirmation that their rebooked flight is operating.

The airline said operational updates are being made regularly and passengers should check their flight status before travelling. Customers with cancelled or rescheduled flights may be contacted directly by the airline regarding alternative travel arrangements.

Connecting travel

The carrier also clarified rules for passengers travelling on connecting itineraries through Dubai.

Customers connecting through Dubai on the flydubai network will only be accepted for travel back to their origin point if their onward connecting flight is operating. This measure aims to prevent disruption for passengers who may otherwise be unable to complete their journey.

flydubai reiterated that the safety of passengers and crew remains its top priority while the airline continues to adapt operations in line with regional aviation developments. The airline said it will keep adjusting schedules and expanding services as conditions allow.
